I can’t tell you how great it is to finally have these unearthed after so many years! This was from the first year I did them (1997). I personally think that year’s batch was funnier than those I wrote in 1998. I remember giving Gordo the lyrics at a Blimpie remote in Arlington. Rogers in Hammerstein was supposed to provide the musical accompaniment, but had something come up, which is why they were all a capella. Thak God for that, otherwise we’d have been deprived of Junior Miller’s shining moment (“He claims to be from Shelbyville”).
