A little update regarding closing or selling the site.

I caught the tail end of Rhyner reading Rocco Pendola’s blog post about how he feels towards the ticket and Rhyner.

I’ve been listening daily to the ticket for many years, but I came after Rocco Pendola. I found this info on Unfair Park from 1999 about Rocco:

Cooperstein’s replacement, Rocco Pendola, would signal all that’s so unnervingly wrong with The Ticket. Pendola might well be the most obtuse, most invidious personality on local radio, a guy who didn’t graduate from high school, thinks Monty Python is one man, and believes it’s actually possible to donate your liver while still living. And he’s the antithesis of Dunham and Miller and The Hardline: a Yankee transplant who doesn’t so much talk as much as he barks, screams, and yowls incessantly. Pendola is some New York City consultant’s idea of a sports-radio afternoon host.

His colleagues aren’t inclined to speak about Pendola on the record, though their treatment of him on the air says enough: Pendola is often portrayed as a moronic, screaming monkey.

I don’t have enough info to really comment about Rocco, but you can learn about him on his blog. It appears things didn’t fly between Rocco and the other guys, but I would imagine that’s the case of anyone new. The Ticket crew is like a gang you have to earn the right to be part of. Who could forget the time the Hardline jumped on to why today doesn’t suck only to be greeted by someone they didn’t know. After a barrage of “Who’s this?”, “Who are you?”, “Why are you here?”, Rhyner finally ends it with “3 – 2 – 1 and we’re done!”

This leads me to my next post directed towards Corby Davidson and his comments about “Bloggers” and “Blogs”.
