A little update regarding closing or selling the site.
More proof that the greatest moments on The Ticket always involved Gordon showing up with nothing prepared and the show giving the middle finger to the run sheet as Gordon stops down The Hardline to tell them his engagement story. Some vintage Greggo here and a Mark Followill who was still doing tickers, Catman back when he was still useful, the cool Jordan’s “60 More Minutes of the Hardline/When the Levy Breaks” intro along with some classic drops. If you’re a P1, this might be the best Christmas present you will get this year. If you’re not a P1, why are you visiting this page? You’re welcome.
Gordo tells the story of going to New York on New Years Eve and proposing
Rhyner (Anonymous Chinese Civil Servant) and Cat (Glam Rock Wedding) then tell the stories of their engagements and weddings, with special guest star Rene Rhyner.
Is this audio sped up? Everyone is talking fast and sounds like they have a high pitch voice. Gordo sounds very weird.
in honor of chipmunk day….
kidding, i slowed it down and if you refresh the page you’ll get the audio that sounds more on the right speed. the cassette to digital doesn’t always translate to the best speed.
I think it’s just 12 years of being on a poorly stored cassette tape.
This audio brings up several questions that I’m sure bigger P1s can answer…
I remember Gordo getting married… and for years it seemed he always presented himself as still-single on the air (a bit that P1s were in on). He never acknowledged he was married.
Here in the last couple of years, he makes a lot of remarks about his dating life, flirts with girls on Twitter, and lives in an apartment (within biking distance to their studios; not his house that he used to reference).
I take all this to mean that he’s divorced–which I don’t remember ever being mentioned on air (but being so personal, that doesn’t surprise me.)
Can anyone confirm?
Are the only still-married Ticket personalities: Junior, George, Bob, Dan, Donny, and Corby? (Similar to Gordon, I assume now that Mike’s divorced.)
With Gordon, you never know what’s just a carefully crafted bit. Rhyner’s been pimping his wife’s art website on his twitter a lot. Wouldn’t think he’d do that if she was an ex (Much like he doesn’t promote anything Greggo does, heh)
Unless it was a very amicable split. My Aunt and her current husband are on good terms with their exes.

No divorce info, but I didn’t google too hard on this one. (I’m doing this on an iPhone while I ride the DART.)
This site is interesting, but it looks like it’s all but shut down and quite old… but it’s got to be his wife, right? She uses Gen Ex Davey as her main referral!
I’m convinced he’s split from his wife. Also, I hope George lives up to his 2012 promise to “expose Gordon’s wealth”.

Dangit, I am like 15 lbs heavier in that pic.
I’m pretty sure mike went through the big d when the daughter went off to college.
Man, this was the good old days, in other words….before Corby!
Wow – Expo wore out those 9 drops he had.
