After the Hardline went on a rant about Rocco Pendola, they then moved into “Blogging”. Corby makes the statement “There are too many bloggers” and also said, “I just don’t get blogs”. While I would love to call in and educate you, I figured I would “BLOG” about it. This way I get to say my piece and you or Danny don’t have the ability to cut me off.

Corby you are only showing your ignorance to the world wide web. I hear you make fun of Norm and his lack of computer skills, but your comments are making you sound a fool. Of course, Danny did too, but at least he admits he doesn’t have a computer. You asked how people get people to read their blog, where Danny said “tell your friends”, then you said “that’s kind of pretentious”. Corby, Cobby, Corra, Cobra!

This blog we started in December. We do it for fun. And we have a blast doing it. Compare it to what you do. You had no idea if anyone was going to listen to the ticket when it started, but you continued on doing what you enjoyed, then look where you guys are now. Blogs are no different than starting a radio station, except voice is replaced with text. You made the comment about how “punctuation” or they’re “poorly written” makes them horrible, but have you listened to your station? You guys make mistakes all the time. It’s human nature.

Blogs should be published when someone is passionate about a subject. Those will get the biggest reader base. You talk about subjects that not only interest you, but also appeal to a grand audience. In our situation, we tap into your market and give the listener point of view to what you boys talk about. Think of it like a rock bands fan site.

Oh and how you get people to your blog? You don’t run around and tell all your friends to read and hope they tell people. We told our friends to help us write that we knew were P1’s. If they’re not interested, cool. Where we get our readers is from the search engines, Google, Yahoo, MSN and so on. Here are a few examples:

Subject: Nasty Nester Calling You A Jew
Google: Unticket.com #1 for Nasty Nestor Jew
Yahoo: Unticket.com #1 for Nasty Nestor Jew

We are averaging around 2,000 visits each day now. Before you know it, we’ll have more readers than you do listeners, then we’ll buy your contract out and fire you for being stupid.
