A little update regarding closing or selling the site.
Ohhh No Shoopy
If you haven’t heard, which you can below, our beloved McGruber is leaving the Ticket. I’ll save the detail for the audio, but just like everyone else, TheUnTicket is really going to miss Grubes at the Ticket because he has been so helpful over the years with getting audio we may have missed or audio we just didn’t have. One of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet and I can only imagine what everyone at the Ticket feels like working with him day in and day out. You’ll be missed, friend!
Of course, if you ever want to make yourself heard or need a fix, this site will always be your playground if you wish. And for those that thought like I did, “April Fool’s” or maybe some sort of prank, Grubes even posted his acceptance letter on twitter. Posted the official announcement and then the awesome segment the Hardline did below.

Such a weird feeling. I hate seeing grubes leave. Such an important part of the ticket these past few years. I guess i will take out my frustrations on redtube.

I think it’s entirely plausible that the failure to bring over old drops during the station move forced his hand. Think about it: all the hard work to catalog drops just gone in a flash. I’d quit too if all my hard work was destroyed.

This is a tough thing. It’s not going to be the same without Shoopy. Have they mentioned who is going to be filling those shoes? I’m assuming TC. Rest in Peace Grubes.
If he wants to “move up” that just sounds like they can’t afford to pay him a decent wage. Exceptions are made for exceptional people, no need to keep him at a board op salary. Fucking bean counters.
What a huge setback for the ticket and especially the hardline. I’m not sure I understand the logic of him saying if he had the degree already he would stay, but I’m not here to criticize. If they really were paying him as poorly as they joke about it then it’s better for him to move on. Given how cumulus has crapped all over their talent during this move it serves them right that someone has bailed on them anyway. Best of luck to Grubes and my condolences to Mike and Corby because their show just got a whole lot less funny.
