A little update regarding closing or selling the site.

Back on June 30th, 2011, the Hardline discussed an Observer article written by a blogger who, on the advice of Davey Lane, will be nicknamed ‘Sounding Desperate’*. The article (here) critiqued the KingBucks for failing to connect with her Vaudevillian sensibilities. Corby brought it to the air during the Pool Party, and Danny spoke his mind in the way that you’d expect the Hardline to. Danny seemed more upset that she’d failed to appreciate the greatness that is Mr. Chad. By the way, Mr. Chad, who is pictured to the right, is an UnTicket favorite and samples of his genius can be heard here, here and here.
In speaking his mind, Danny called Desperate a ‘bitch’. That brought about reactions from more bloggers who didn’t seem to care much about the original topic as much as they took offense to Danny’s language, perceiving his words to be a verbal threat. If you really want to read the blogs, they’re here and here, but the content is summarized in the audio and you can better spend your time surfing this site instead.
Davey Lane then took up for Danny by opening the Orphanage with an on-air shredding of Desperate’s writing. I thought it was interesting at the time, but didn’t consider reposting it until an UnP1 requested it. So, here it is in it’s entirety — great story, I know, I’ll tell it again next year. AND MORE Mr. CHAD, DAMMIT!
* Davey’s contention is that the author did this to increase her web visibility. Using her name here would do just that, so I didn’t.

It’s in the linked Observer article, as well as in the audio…Sorry for the extra hoops. Besides, the P1 Hornets nest might be better served by going to a King bucks outing or showing up to a Mr. Chad comedy spot and cheering extra hard as he offers delicious cocktails to gaggles of lovely ladies!

Davey is the most underutilized asset that the Ticket has. He is very smart and, IMO, has a sense of humor that rivals Gordo’s. And now this–Davey Lane is my hero.
I think Catttt hates Davey Lane more than he hates TC, hence he’s relegated to the Orphanage and not even invited to the great game.
I love TC and I love how I can hear the feedback on this high quality piece of audio.

You’re most welcome! It’s a direct transcode of the stream. The Ticket used to broadcast in stereo and in fairly high-def over their internet stream, but when they switched to the Cumulus streaming service, they dropped the quality to 8KHz mono. Still good enough to hear TC’s feedback though.
