A little update regarding closing or selling the site.
Mere hours after Mark Elfenbein announced he was leaving the Ticket, Todd Archer tweeted that he was leaving the Dallas Morning News aka Sportsday DFW for ESPN. Why do we UnP1’s care? Well, Todd did the Ranch Report, which was perhaps one of the few nuggets of pure foot-ball-ball knowledge P1’s could count on. Now that he’s jumped to a competitor, he won’t be able to continue bickering with Bob about the merits of Bobby Carpenter.
A lot of people didn’t like Todd because of his sports points. I appreciated the dude because it was pretty clear that he listened to the Ticket (or at the very least, he listened to the segment immediately before he was on). Not sure if that’ll continue on in the future…but in the meantime, stay hard Todd, and we’ll see you at the Crossroads.

P.S. – My suggestion, which is probably worthless, is to have the Cowboy’s beat reporter Josh Ellis (of the internet radio show The Lunch Break) replace Todd. While most would consider Josh a mouthpiece for the Cowboys, realize that as an intern, he nearly got into a fight with Martin Grammatica for pointing out to him that throwing a simple block would probably have lead to the Cowboys beating Seattle in the playoffs a few years ago. SPORTS!
Perhaps I rate Todd too high only because he took over for the terrible Mickey Spagnola. Either way, he’ll be missed. Mickey Lamb…still not missed.
a) It makes me so happy when I receive an email saying “Buffalo Printer has commented on your post”
b) I agree with your sports point — Mickey has now turned into a full-on contrarian curmudgeon; even more so than before.
Todd was very much a P1. He always ended his online chats with courage. (since The ticket owns the right to said term). Todd Archer’s best moment? A couple weeks ago, Mike Lombardi did a call with the Musers & breathed HEAVILY through the entire call. Todd’s segment followed after Gordo’s corner & he started the call by breathing heavily unto the phone. RIP Todd Archer.
Is the “Tard Archer” moment posted on the Unticket? When Jub called him Tard…
I don’t think so…but I loved his reply…”I’m at the DMV, changing my first name…apparently, I should be spelling it T-A-R-D, not T-O-D-D”…no idea when it happened though.
Amen. I’ll visit his grave often.
Seems as though the surgery went well. I was worried who they were going to put in but, David Moore seemed to fit in just nicely.
I wonder if he is a P1 also.
his stuttering /cadence drove me crazy anyway.
that being said… the new guy sounds like the uncle i was supposed to keep my distance from
