A little update regarding closing or selling the site.
It’s no secret that The Ticket employees use their advantage of the radio to promote their side gig band projects. Rhyner even has a sponsor that pays to promote his Petty band.
Not too long ago I blogged about the concert calendar and Danny’s new cd the Hardline kept talking about. I’ve never been a country music fan and had to give my opinion on his music…probably since he’s so opinionated about other music. I preferred his older music much better and the fact he used to bag on country music in the past, him doing country and Corby saying it’s the best he’s heard, I just felt it was forced and not that great.
Today, Jub Jub brought in music from his band “The Bird Dogs”. It’s country music and it started with Gordo saying he cried while listening to it and wanted to make man love to Jah. Very similar to how the Danny disc dropped on air. The one difference was, George isn’t so opinionated of other music.
They played two songs, “In A Minute” and “Thought It Was You” from his upcoming EP. You can listen to these songs right now at The Bird Dogs Myspace. I have to say, it was “really” good music. I’m still not a fan of country, nor will I ever be, but I enjoyed listening to this. I’ll probably give the whole EP a listen. So big thumbs up Bird Dogs! Good luck to opening up for your wet dream Randy Rogers (insert Norgasm 3000, setting 3).
Here’s the segment where The Bird Dogs are debuted.
Couldn’t agree more with this entire post, esp. the part about Danny’s album – *meh* and Corby’s take. The Bird Dog tracks are great – even for non-country fans like myself.
